This report examines the opportunity and preferences of SMBs that use social media for advertising and promotion. Findings are from Wave 18 of BIA/Kelsey’s Local Commerce Monitor™ (LCM) survey.
In our full sample, 72.2%, or 394 SMB respondents, reported that they use one of the 12 social media platforms identified in our survey. The report profiles these businesses, including their usage and spending on media, online platforms and key marketing programs. We also present information on their usage intentions and priorities for advertising and marketing products going forward.
