BIA/Kelsey is excited to recognize the cream among this year’s crop of LEADING IN LOCAL Future Stars, with the first-ever LOCAL Liftoff Awards.

LOCAL Liftoff is the preeminent award for local digital media and marketing startups, as determined by industry peers.

Meet our gold winner and silver and bronze finalists, determined by attendees of LEADING IN LOCAL: The National Impact, March 18-20, 2013, in Boston.




 

 

Rules of Entry

ELIGIBLITY RULES:

The LOCAL Liftoff Awards competition is open to qualified LEADING IN LOCAL Future Stars that register to attend BIA/Kelsey’s LEADING IN LOCAL: The National Impact conference.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: March 8, 2013

Qualified LEADING IN LOCAL Future Stars must be registered to attend BIA/Kelsey’s LEADING IN LOCAL: The National Impact conference by 5pm ET on March 8, 2013.

HOW TO ENTER:

All applications for Future Stars status must be submitted through our online application. You will be notified within 48 hours if you have been selected as a Future Star. Once selected and registered for the conference, you are eligible to enter the LOCAL Liftoff Awards competition. BIA/Kelsey’s Future Stars selection panel will determine final eligibility for entry. Future Stars will be notified by March 9 if they are entered into the competition.

WILL THERE BE EXHIBIT SPACE AVAILABLE FOR FUTURE STARS?

Future Stars Alley will be open on Day 1 of the conference, providing space for qualified Future Stars to demonstrate and discuss their solutions with attendees. A limited number of high-top tables will be available on a first-come basis. Future Stars who wish to reserve a spot in Future Stars Alley are encouraged to apply early.

HOW IS THE WINNER DETERMINED?

Voting by registered conference attendees in combination with an expert panel of judges will determine the winner of the LOCAL Liftoff Awards.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Future Stars in person on Day 1 of the conference, in the Future Stars Alley. Attendees will be encouraged to vote for the startup they believe embodies the mission of the Future Stars program, which identifies companies with the greatest potential to break through with a truly innovative and viable solution that advances interactive local media.

Two rounds of voting will determine the winner:

  • Round 1: Begins at 12 pm on Day 1 (March 18) through 1:30 pm on Day 2. The top three vote-getters from Round 1 will move on to Round 2
  • Round 2: Three finalists from Round 1 will compete for the Gold by demoing their products to attendees and our panel of celebrity judges, on stage following David S.Kidder’s keynote, beginning at 4:15 pm on Day 2. Round 2 voting ends at 7 pm on Day 2 (March 19).


Our Gold Star Winner will be announced from the stage on Day 3 (March 20).

Conference attendees will receive specific voting instructions when they arrive at the conference.
