Brands and agencies are invited to nominate their local marketing successes; finalists will be showcased and category winners announced at BIA/Kelsey BRANDS, March 22, in New York.
CHANTILLY, Va. (Jan. 20, 2016) BIA/Kelsey today announced a call for entries for the 2016 GOLOCAL Awards, a competition to identify and celebrate the most successful local marketing initiatives deployed by brands and agencies.
BIA/Kelsey estimates brands, their agencies, franchisees and retailers are spending over $61 billion targeting local audiences across no less than 16 media platforms. The GOLOCAL Awards will recognize the most effective brand-to-local marketing strategies.
“The GOLOCAL competition is an exceptional way to highlight brands and agencies that are executing successful digital marketing programs at the local level,” said MacKenzie Lovings, VP of marketing, BIA/Kelsey. “This competition gives our community an opportunity to learn from the latest local targeting innovations and best practices. We’ve designed the program to stimulate ideas and offer valuable case studies on successful brand-to-local marketing initiatives.”
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges, based on how effectively their marketing program fulfilled its stated objectives. Categories include sales/revenue, innovation and strategic use of digital marketing.

Finalists will be notified by March 9, 2016 and showcased at the upcoming BIA/Kelsey BRANDS conference, March 22, in New York, where category winners will be announced.
