BIA/Kelsey’s 2011-2016 U.S. Local Media Forecast projects moderate growth in the overall local ad market during the five-year forecast period. Digital will far outpace traditional media, although we do expect to see very modest traditional media growth over the forecast period. This is largely the result of 2016 being an election year. By 2016 BIA/Kelsey estimates digital revenues will account for roughly a quarter of U.S. local media advertising. This document also features our forecast for social local media.
