EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
We are seeing a wave of efforts around deal personalization as a way to boost the yield on deals and promotions. Most deal personalization is based on check offs by consumers in their profiles. True personalization, which goes beyond check-offs and uses actual behavioral data, is just getting started in the deals arena. One interesting effort is Local Offer Network’s Catalyst, a personalization and promotions scoring solution. This Advisory examines how Catalyst addresses some of the key challenges to achieving true personalization in the deals and promotions arena.
